We, the Carmelite Sisters, D.C.J., express our love and consecration to God by means of our vows and a life of prayer, personal, as well as communal. This love and consecration also includes our concern for our neighbour by means of dedicated service.

Our first ministry is prayer:

  • prayer of reparation or atonement to the Divine Heart of Jesus for all sins committed
  • prayer of intercession on behalf of all who are in need
  • prayer for priests according to the Teresian Carmelite tradition.

Out of the riches of this spiritual tradition, we draw the energy daily for our apostolic endeavours.

These include:

  1. Support of the poor and abandoned in physical and spiritual need
    • Catechetical instruction and assistance in liturgical celebrations
    • Houses for Retreats and Religious formation
    • Care of migrant citizens
    • Homes for mothers in need
    • Home mission work among families
  2. Christian upbringing of children and youth in our Homes for Children and our Day Care Centres
  3. Care of the aged in our Homes for the Aged and Senior Citizens' Day Care Centres.
